In today’s mechanistic age, some of us feel the lack of a complete,
holistic understanding of the phenomena of life,
chief among them our experience of and conception of love–
in both its personal and cosmic implications.
Our guest, Michael Michailidis, explained how what we seek today
was also sought by the ancient Greeks, who had a surprisingly modern,
scientific understanding of one possible explanation of love–
but rejected it for something more complete and fulfilling.
